The Lightning Thief
April 15-27, 2025
UAA Mainstage Theatre
This dynamic musical adaptation of Rick Riordan's bestselling book opened on Broadway in 2019. When teenager Percy Jackson discovers he's a demigod, he and his friends embark on an epic journey to find Zeus' missing lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods.
The Lightning Thief is being produced by the members of the student created “Splish Splash Production Team”. Follow them on Instagram @splishsplashproductions to learn about all the ways you can help them fundraise for the show and to keep tabs on production news!
Some of the more vocally challenging roles have been double cast! Please note the performance schedules of each cast if there are specific actors you are hoping to see and support. (Although we encourage you to see both of them!)

Ramona Quimby
Adapted by Len Jenkin from the books by Beverly Cleary.
Unpredictable. Exasperating. Boisterous and independent. That's Ramona Quimby for you. The problems facing the Quimbys, a middle-class Oregon family, are problems common to most families, and the family's togetherness in tackling the sacrifices and adjustments required when the father is unexpectedly fired from his job is a clear statement of traditional family struggles. Along with the discovery that life is not always fair, eventually Ramona and Beezus come to realize that sisters may not always agree, but they can be good to have around.
Families & participants of all ages welcome! 12 characters available.
We will meet in person at the ATY Studio - 4105 E Turnagain Blvd, Suite J.
