    Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr. (the musical)

    Alaska Theatre of Youth presents Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr. from the 2008 Broadway production, featuring hit songs "Part of Your World," "She’s in Love," and the Oscar-winning "Under the Sea" and more! In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.

    Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol (non-musical)

    Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" has gripped the public's imagination since 1843. It is as much a part of the holiday season as is mistletoe or stockings. Alaska Theatre of Youth brings back Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and all of your favorite characters in this traditional re-telling. Come along as the spirits take the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey where he learns the true meaning of Christmas.

    A rip-roaring Christmas comedy! The Herdmans are the worst kids in the history of the world. So no one is prepared when this outlaw family decides to take over the annual Christmas pageant. None of the Herdmans has ever heard the Christmas story before. Their wild interpretation of the tale has a lot of people up in arms. But it will make this year's pageant the most unusual anyone has seen and, just possibly, the best one ever. Have some holiday fun with the ATY!

    HONK! Jr. (musical)

    HONK! became a stand-out by winning the 2000 Olivier Award (the British equivalent of the Tony® Award) for Best New Musical over The Lion King when both played in London. HONK! Jr. is a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling with a charming and whimsical musical score that all are sure to love. The young actors of Alaska Theatre of Youth look forward to sharing with you their story of inner beauty, self-worth and friendship.

    The Wizard of Oz-The True Story (non-musical)

    Alaska Theatre of Youth presents Ron Holmstrom's adaptation of L. Frank Baum's famous children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Come discover the original story come-to-life on stage and enjoy the antics of Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, the Wicked Witch, the Munchkins, and more, as they take on their fantastical adventure through Oz. Non-musical, literary adaptation.

    FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

    1. All shows are at the Sydney Laurence Theatre of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts
    2. Show times are 10am & 11:45am; running times are approximately 50-75 minutes (some shows vary).
    3. REFUNDS:
      • • deposit is non-refundable;
        • bus fees are non-refundable when arranged by ATY for you;
        • canceled reservations with more than 30 days notice - deposit is applicable to
           future school show reservation; and
        • Schools/classes that fail to show up will not be refunded.
    4. BUS RESERVATIONS: ATY strongly encourages teachers to arrange their own bus transportation through the school district and take advantage of the school district bus rate. In the event a teacher needs ATY to make arrangements on their behalf, there is a $5 bus charge per rider with a 40 person (chaperone and student) minimum order as ATY is not eligible to book buses at the school district rate. If you require a bus from Girdwood or the Valley, there will be an additional $2 per seat charge. ATY can only arrange buses with 15 days lead time and pending availability. Sorry, there can be NO REFUNDS for bus reservations.
      BUS GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE RASMUSON FOUNDATION/ASCA.
      Please inquire about the above if you are unable to attend shows due to bus cost.
    5. DEPOSITS: to secure your reservation please pay a 10% non-refundable deposit at time of booking.
    6. PAYING YOUR BALANCE: Please pay your balance in full 30 days prior to the show. In the event of sold out shows, schools with Balance Due after 30 day payment deadline may be waitlisted. Final payments of school Balance must be paid in full at check-in if not paid previously.
    7. METHODS OF PAYMENT: check to “Alaska Theatre of Youth”, cash, VISA/MC, ASD Purchase Order, or PayPal online will be listed below when ready.
    8. BOOKING A SHOW: Please visit our website and make your booking online along with your credit card payment using our convenient PayPal option. All bookings will receive a receipt. Or fax in your order to 338-4909 and an ATY staff person will contact you for credit card information by phone. Or post a check made out to “Alaska Theatre of Youth” and this form to ALASKA THEATRE OF YOUTH – PO BOX 101212, ANCHORAGE, AK 99510.
    9. WAITING LISTS: In the event of sold out shows, your group may be placed on the Waiting List in the following instances - you didn't pay a deposit or you didn't pay your full balance 30 days prior to show time.
    10. The school is responsible for ensuring they honor their reservation and notify ATY in a timely manner of changes to their booking. We will do our best to accommodate you! As you can imagine – our shows are by demand and cancellations pose difficulty for the student actors, parents, ushers and the vitality of our organization.
