Chester, the family cat, and Harold, the family dog, try to learn to live with Bunnicula, the new family vampire rabbit, who sucks the juices out of vegetables. No one is willing to believe Chester when he warns that the rabbit is behind the dreadful-goings on in the vegetable crisper, and he temporarily loses Harold as a friend in the process. Eventually, the three pets learn to live with each other’s differences.
Bunnicula was featured in the 2007 Battle of the Books, making this is a perfect show to spark a discussion with your students about the images conjured up by reading a book, and the experience of a live performance. |
